German 'Heroes'

Germany's papers could scarcely hide their glee on Sunday after their teams 4-0 rout of Argentina sent them into the World Cup semi-finals and got the whole nation dreaming of a fourth World Cup triumph.

"1954,1974,1990" ran the headline on Sunday's Tagesspiegel daily, the dates of Germany's three previous World Cup wins, the paper hoping 2010 would soon be added to the list.
"Thank you, you heroes," screamed the Bild am Sonntag on its front page, with pictures of Argentina coach Diego Maradona "sniveling" and Chancellor Angela Merkel cheering her team on from the stands.
"1-0 Mueller, 2-0 Klose, 3-0 Friendrich, 4-0 Klose. Yes, you are our heroes. Yes, we'll never forget you. Yes we're in the semifinals, added the paper. Related article:'Unbelievable, incredible. You just can't put it into words. The football god is smiling on Germany. We beat Argentina 4-0, we're in the World Cup semifinal and we're playing the most beautiful football in the Whole-world.'
The Berliner Kurier told its readers: "Call your sons Jogi", refering to German coach Joachim Loew. The sweetest win of all time. How come no one has come up to us yet and shouted wake up eyes open it was all a dream.

Museum

The Gosudarstvennyj Ermita or Hermitage Museum, that vast collection of Russian and human art and artefacts, has swollen to fill six buildings, the largest and most appropriate being. Petersburgs Winter Palace, once home of the Tzars. This magnificent Baroque building and its contents fit well into the collection began in the mid 18th century by catherine the Great. Starting with an incredible collegtion of paintings, predominantly from the old and Dutch Masters, the catalogue grew to engulf the best private collections put up for sale and gold-including important pieces from classical cultures from Greece, Rome and Egypt and a huge collection of ancient gold.
The 'Met' is to New York what the Louvre is to Paris. It's an astonishing museum in it's scale and size- the best museum by far in the New World. The collection of European art encompasses all ages from the Romans to Rnoir, with works by all the masters on view. The Met's reach, though, is global: Egypt,Africa, the middle East and Oceania are all repreaented and there is an extensive collection of American art.

Football World Cup

The quarterfinal game between two football powerhouses Germany and Argentina. Argentina was totally dominated by the former as the outclassed the Latin American country 4-0. It is amazing that this win was the second biggest in this 2010 World Cup the first being Portugal's drubbing of North Korea by a 5-0 margin. is Argentina as weak as Australia against whom too Germany scored four goals? Argentina was supposed to be one of the favourites to lift the cup with high-profile coach Maradona and players like Messi,Tevez,Higuin and D. Maria but all expectations went in vain.
Watching the game seemed a total waste of time after the first half. Although Germany scored 4-0. I, as a supporter of Germany. The manner in which the German team won that match has made me feel that they are the ones who will this edition of the World Cup.
Most football pundits were predicting that there would be a tough competition for the cup between as teams like Argentina and Brazil. However, in retrospection, it looks like the predictions were made a little too early. by now, its clear that one of the European teems would take the cup home. And I wouldn't be surprised if that team is Germany.

Elusive Consecsus

Maxists believe that human actions and institutions are economically determined. Class struggle is needed to create historocal change. In the end, communism will replace capitalism and everyone will live happily ever after. It is a deterministic way of understanding political processes. Politics, however, continues to be what it was during the time of Ottovan Bismarck:The art of the possible of the two Germans, it seems the Iron Chancellor had a better grasp of ground realities than the revolutionary ideologue.
Premier Madhav Kumar Nepal is a lapsed Marxist. Even if he continues to believe in the Communist Manifesto, he has managed to keeps his faith private. In public, he presents himself as a master of realpolitic. For the umpteenth time, he said that he was ready to resign. He left his readiness undefined. Since no political theory can explain has elevation to the high office, only politics can show the way of his ouster. Political science has no prescription to deal with the trust deficit between the leading politicos of the country.

Endow with security

Although the tempo of crime is immensely escalating in the country, the government seems a silent spectator.
This is not the first time people have been shot dead in the busy area in daytime. The government doesn't seem serious in safeguarding people's lives and belonging .Government officials and other VIPs are enjoying a comfortable, secured life and they have no time to think about the commoner's safety. The law and order situation has deteriorated so much so that commoner's feel insecure all the time.
Home minister Bhim Rawal is always saying that the law and order situation has improved. However, the incident in Butwal clearly depicts the security condition in the country. It's really disgusting to know that police arrived at the spot half an hour late despite the fact that the police station was just 200 meters away.
These days the criminals are performing their misconducts with ease. They usually find preferable surrounding for their misconducts. The main reason I think is the security personal's indifference to crime. Moreover, the criminals receive political support.I urge the government to take law and order situation seriously and ensure everyone's safety.

Protect yourself popular life

The popularity of an insurance company today depends just not on its customer service but also the diverse varieties of products that it launches in the market to get more customers. Many people today take in account the quality of products while purchasing insurance products.
Realizing this fact, insurance companies are relying heavily on insurance products and this has resulted into a rigorous competition among insurance companies for producing the best insurance products in the market.
Insurance companies- established and newcomers alike-are adopting the policy of 'devising lucrative products to capture the market' to grow amid cutthroat competition in the market, said Son Bahadur Magar, manager of Life Insurance Corporation Nepal's Kamaladi branch. Magar said Jeevan Anand Life Insurance policy of LIC is doing very well in the market.
The Jeevan Anand policy is one of the most sold insurance products of LIC (Nepal) and it is through this pokicy that we have been able to attract many cpstomers, Magar said adding,"Through this product, insurer can get both the bonus as well as the insurance amount after the maturity of the policy. As the policy also has the provision of free risk coverage up to whole life even after the payment of the policy, this provides double benefit to the insurer."

Boosting Exports

Boosting exports and curbing imports is the best way to lower the alarming deficit in the country's Balance of Payment. This is a general classroom theory in economics but very difficult to translate in practice. Yes, the government has many means to check imports -it can raise custom duties, choke credit flow to sectors that are overheated and bring policies to substitute imports through domestic production, at least in the agriculture sector-but the million dollar question is: How can it boost exports at a time when basic requirements for industrialization such as infranstructure, power and security is at its weakest?
Even Nepal's traditional exportable products like woolen carpets and readymade garments, to name a few , are battling hard to survive. Not that there were no attempts from the government to revive the export sector. Export duties were lowered and arrangements were made for low-interest financing but the outcome has continued to remain pessimistic simply because most of the efforts were launched haphazardly without identifying the main reason behind decline in exports. The continuously declining contribution of the manufacturing sector to the country's total output itself is a testimony of our failed industrial policy. Against this background, the recommendations put forward by Trade Intergration Strategy study, which was made public last week,is welcome in the sense that it has at least identified commodities and services with export potential. It is agood start but there are lots of others issues that need to be solved before we can expect to see a robust boost in our export figures.

Disability issue

All humans are created equal. however people a;; over the world discriminate against persons with disability (PWD). Nobody has taken seriously the hardships that Nepal's nearly 3 million PWDs have to go through everybody.
In Nepal, most of the PWDs are from disadvantage and marginalized groups. The discrimination starts from the family because many families think having a PWD member is a burden and as such they opt to send the disabled child to an orphanage or a disability care center, rather than provide the disabled child with good education. Why do the parents in Nepal think this way? One of the reasons for this is that our society and physical infranstructures are not disabled-friendly.
People tend to focus on disability more than the ability of PWDs which makes them doubly discriminated. For example, the constituent assembly has only two PWD members.
This is new Nepal and everything is changing, but PWDs situation has not changed at all. Therefore, it is about time PWDs asked all stakeholders why they are not taking the situation seriously. To end the discrimination against PWDs goverment should strictly implement anti-discrimination laws.
