Disability issue

All humans are created equal. however people a;; over the world discriminate against persons with disability (PWD). Nobody has taken seriously the hardships that Nepal's nearly 3 million PWDs have to go through everybody.
In Nepal, most of the PWDs are from disadvantage and marginalized groups. The discrimination starts from the family because many families think having a PWD member is a burden and as such they opt to send the disabled child to an orphanage or a disability care center, rather than provide the disabled child with good education. Why do the parents in Nepal think this way? One of the reasons for this is that our society and physical infranstructures are not disabled-friendly.
People tend to focus on disability more than the ability of PWDs which makes them doubly discriminated. For example, the constituent assembly has only two PWD members.
This is new Nepal and everything is changing, but PWDs situation has not changed at all. Therefore, it is about time PWDs asked all stakeholders why they are not taking the situation seriously. To end the discrimination against PWDs goverment should strictly implement anti-discrimination laws.
